(“Solace”), a Canadian deep-tech company specializing in wireless power and data transfer, announced at CANSEC 2026, Canada’s largest defence and security show, that it is one of the six founding members of the newly launched NORTHERN UxV Consortium.
This new national alliance brings together leading Canadian technology companies specializing in autonomous navigation, mission-critical computing, unmanned ground and aerial systems, embedded cybersecurity, and wireless power and data transfer technologies to accelerate the development and deployment of next-generation defence capabilities for the Canadian Armed Forces and NATO partners across air and ground domains.

As part of the consortium, Solace will contribute its patented power and data technology, designed to eliminate physical connectors and exposed contacts in harsh and mission-critical environments, including Arctic operations. Solace’s technology enables sealed and ruggedized autonomous systems with improved reliability, reduced maintenance requirements, and greater operational flexibility.
The NORTHERN UxV Consortium is focused on operational capabilities including ISR, autonomous resupply, counter-UAS operations, autonomous medevac, demining, and multi-domain operations.
