
March 19, 2026, Mount Pearl, NL: Solace Power Inc. (“Solace”), a Canadian deep-tech company specializing in wireless power and data transfer, today announced that it is one of five companies in Newfoundland and Labrador to receive funding through the Government of Canada’s Regional Defence Investment Initiative (RDII), delivered by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
The Government of Canada’s announcement includes a total investment of $16 million to support five projects in the province, aimed at strengthening Canada’s defence industrial base, advancing critical technologies, and supporting high-skilled job creation. Solace has been awarded $4 million to support the continued development and commercialization of its wireless power and data technology in harsh environments, including the Arctic.
