The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electrical systems and a strong, hands-on, skillset when it comes to working in the hardware lab. This role will involve designing, developing, and testing advanced electrical systems and components to support our next-generation wireless power solutions.
Your Day-to-Day at Solace Power:
- Design, develop, and optimize electrical circuits and systems for wireless power transfer applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to integrate electrical components into complete systems.
- Conduct simulations, modeling, and analysis to validate system performance and reliability.
- Prototype and test new electrical designs, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing designs and processes.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in wireless power technology and incorporate new techniques into projects.
- Capture and analyze test results accurately and comprehensively.
Must-Have Requirements:
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and developing electrical systems
- Experience in PCB design software, lab skills (i.e. soldering), circuit prototype testing and debugging.
- Strong knowledge of electromagnetic theory, circuit design, and power electronics.
- Proficiency in using simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
